Welcome to Polkadot in Paris

I am a travel lover from New Jersey with an affinity for Paris and polkadots. I started this blog to document my travels, my photographs and some tips that I have learned along the way. Last year my boyfriend and I quit our jobs to travel through Europe. We had been saving for a year and a half to make this dream come true and I still can not believe we really did it! We left our home town with three bags, all of our savings and about half of the trip meticulously planned out. We spent five months traveling through 19 different countries. Along the way we learned about different cultures, about budgeting, and a lot about each other and our relationship. By the end of the trip I had over 40,000 photos, endless memories and stories and an engagement ring on my left hand! We got engaged in Paris on the last night of our amazing trip. Since we have returned home to New Jersey I have been working on organizing my photos and my stories and to share them on here. I hope to record my travels, my plans, my photos, my travel tips, my memories and everything in between. Memories are so important to me and I love the idea of keeping track of them and organizing them in this way with a blog. Of course we are no where near done traveling.
